For the first time in history the 2008 Beijing Olympics will be broadcast and produced in HDTV (high definition television). It is estimated that there will be over four billion views for this event. You can check your local TV stations as almost every channel will be broadcasting the Olympics.

A major concern for the Olympics is the amount of air pollution in China. The Chinese government is trying its best to reduce the air pollution during the event. It will close several factories and minimize traffic to avoid excessive pollution. They have also put nearly one million flowers in Beijing alone to reduce pollution.
